Description
Black Sabbath - 1st LP
(Vertigo VO 6 UK LP 1970)
This is an early UK LP pressing on the "Swirl" Vertigo label. It has a matt gatefold sleeve. It comes with its original polythene-lined swirl inner sleeve.
The record has swirl Vertigo labels which have the small "swirl" logo on Side 2's label. It has 1Y#-1/ 2Y#-2 matrix stampers.
Gatefold Sleeve: The bottom corner of the inner gatefold has got stuck together at some point. There are two 6 cm tears, on the inner gatefold, at both sides of this area. There is also a smaller 7.5 cm tear at the same bottom area on the rear sleeve. There is moderate rubbing wear to the bottom edge, & some mild rubbing wear to the top edge. VG- condition.
Vinyl: Mild to more moderate sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light, and about 4 light marks. VG condition. The labels are clean & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. Plays VG+ to VG++ overall. There is some light, or mild, crackle in some of the quieter places.
The swirl inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There are no seam splits.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
