Description
Black Sabbath – Greatest Hits
Zeema Records – NEP 6009 – UK Picture Disc LP
Offered here is the striking early-80s UK picture disc edition of Black Sabbath – Greatest Hits, issued by Zeema Records Ltd. (NEP 6009). These Zeema picture disc reissues were produced in relatively small quantities during the short lifespan of the label and have since become sought-after collectibles for their bold visual presentation and niche place in Sabbath vinyl history.
Unlike standard black vinyl pressings, this edition stands out for its full-color picture disc design — a display-worthy piece that makes a strong addition to any Black Sabbath or heavy metal collection. Zeema’s Sabbath releases are particularly collectible due to:
-
Limited early-1980s production runs
-
Distinctive artwork not used on major-label editions
-
The label’s brief and now-defunct run
-
Steady collector interest in Zeema picture discs
Condition (Play Tested):
I am grading this copy as Worn to set clear expectations. It is fully playable but has noticeable surface noise throughout. Importantly, I did not observe visible scratches or scuffs on the playing surface. As with many picture discs of this era, sound quality can be variable, and a professional deep clean may help improve playback. This is best suited as a collectible or display piece rather than an audiophile copy.
