Description
BLACK SABBATH – MASTER OF REALITY
Original 1971 Australian Vertigo pressing with ORIGINAL FOLD-OUT POSTER
A beautiful and remarkably well-preserved Australian copy of Black Sabbath’s classic Master of Reality, released on the highly collectible Vertigo swirl label.
Artist: Black Sabbath
Title: Master of Reality
Label: Vertigo
Catalogue: 6360 050
Year: 1971
Country: Australia
Format: 12” Vinyl LP / 33 RPM
This is the Australian Vertigo issue with the distinctive black and purple embossed/laminated sleeve, Vertigo swirl label and original Australian fold-out Black Sabbath poster.
The poster was found carefully stored inside the album and appears to have seen very little handling. It is exceptionally well preserved for its age, with strong colour and its original folds. There are no obvious tears, tape, writing or pinholes. Please see the detailed photographs of both the front and reverse.
VINYL CONDITION
The vinyl is in exceptional visual condition for its age. It remains extremely clean and glossy and no scratches are visible on visual inspection.
It has been carefully stored in its clear protective inner sleeve.
Please note that I do not have a record player, so the record has not been play-tested. The description of the vinyl is therefore based solely on careful visual inspection.
SLEEVE CONDITION
The original embossed/laminated sleeve presents very well for its age. It has some expected vintage edge/corner, crease and storage wear, all shown in the photographs.
MATRIX / RUNOUT
Side 2: ◇ MX165084-B / 6360 050-2
I have not attempted to photograph or further inspect the Side 1 runout as I do not wish to unnecessarily handle this exceptionally clean record.
ORIGINAL POSTER INCLUDED
The original Australian fold-out poster is included and is in exceptionally well-preserved vintage condition. Both sides are photographed.
