LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo 6360 050
YEAR OF RELEASE: 1971
COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK
CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): F+ (please read on)/VG. Vinyl is clean with a decent sheen, some surface lines and a fair few hairlines and brushing lines. Played all of this today on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Music is clean, powerful and loud with some ticks, occasionally repetitive. The ticks are more evident in the usual places on side 2 - "Orchid" and Solitude" in particular. It has 2 split second skips towards the end of "Solitude" and a couple of seconds hiss and a skip in the intro to "Lord Of This World" . Box cover is in decent condition. Its been stored with 2 cut stiffeners inside to preserve the shape. It is pretty firm and square and has moderate edge-wear, corner-wear and creasing. It has 2 small partial punctures, one in the M of "Master" and one an inch west of the O in "Of". Original reverse swirl inner is in decent shape with fully attached poly, no edge-splits and some foxing spots. Has a couple of names and a pen mark to otherwise clean labels. No other writing and no rips, stickers or sticker tears.
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER SABBATH/PSYCH/PROGRESSIVE/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 40-50 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
