Description
An original 1971 UK copy of the rare Black Sabbath Master of Reality LP on the Vertigo 'Swirl' label, including inner Vertigo sleeve and giant 68cm x 45cm (27" x 18") colour poster. This is the top opening original pressing. The vinyl, box and inner sleeve are all in excellent condition. The laminated box has the usual few signs of air pockets between the original laminate surface and the sleeve underneath but this is hardly noticeable. This is inevitable with a sleeve of this design and I would still describe the box & sleeve as excellent for a 40 year old item.
The poster which was issued with this first pressing is incredibly rare and in near mint condition with no pin holes or creases (or Blu-Tak!).
The record has been played on a Linn Sondek LP12 and there is no reduction in sound quality, no clicks, no scratches.
The new edition of the rare record price guide lists this item as £300.00 in mint condition.
