Soundclip info: A4 "Iron Man"
Soundclip:  Update your internet browser to latest version in order to play audio clip.

Media Grade:  VG (visually has light sleeve scuffs, light storage marks under bright light, high-gloss, my own personal player copy, plays incredible front to back, solid VG+ to EX, very conservative grade, peep the soundclip!)
Sleeve Grade:  VG (structurally solid/intact, lower left hand corner has rubbing, the prevalent ringwear/rubwear is what brought it down from VG+, inner gatefold is quite sharp, a solid copy, definitely used, but not thrashed or maimed, see photos!)
Year / Label / Catalogue #:   1970  /  Warner Bros.  /  WS 1887 (stereo, very 1st US press, no "Luke's Wall" or "Jack The Stripper" on interior gatefold tracklist, but is present on labels *See Photos*, first stampers, first labels, first logos, meticulously verified)
Brief Comments: So, I understand according to Discogs, the US press first hit stores January 7th, 1971, which I'm not in a position to debate, I can say even accepting that premise, a very first press would still have been physically pressed up, manufactured in late 1970, and given that is the year stated in the gatefold, I've decided given it's true first press nature, to go with 1970 instead of 1971 as year of release, if any Black Sabbath super fan / collector can educate me on the merit or lack thereof for that choice, I'm definitely open to learning more :)
Black Sabbath's "Paranoid", coming right off the heels of their self-titled debut (a killer album, Cypress Hill got me into that one!) launched them from cutting-edge, to cutting edge superstars, the iconic classics like "Iron Man", "War Pigs", of course the title track "Paranoid", their launch into basically inventing heavy metal, building off the incredible gloomy doom hard rock blues of the first, and super-charging it.
(I can say that I love Metallica's "Master Of Puppets" 1986 lp, I love Budgie's 1970 s/t lp (which is also up, and also produced by Rodger Bain!), the American pioneers "Dust" (we have their sophomore rarity "Hard Attack" 1972 lp up), the heavy metal vibes of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song",  Jimi Hendrix (who I definitely feel plays what we could recognize at least as proto-metal), but my knowledge of the genre as a whole is probably very surface at best in comparison to a lot of heavy metal fans (I have friends, much love, much respect!), and as far as Black Sabbath, I love their first album, I've loved Paranoid (if I didn't have student debt loan....), I love "Master of Reality", and I grew up having watched episodes of the Ozzy Osbourne Show, but that's about the depth of my knowledge of Sabbath as a band (their first 3 I'm very familiar with!), before I proceed with commentary!)
I think Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" is one of the most influential, important albums ever made, I would agree with the consensus that it is a masterpiece, and I can say specifically in regards to this copy, the sonic quality is insane, I have a nice CD copy, and it just doesn't really come close. This was still the prime era of vinyl, and no matter how HQ of a CD, I don't think it'll be the same. They made it knowing, you'd have to take a few seconds, pause a moment to flip it over, from "Iron Man" to "Electric Funeral", just staring at that gatefold, and then the outside, that kind of tactile sense, is built into the experience. (Now I wasn't there, but I've spoken to many who lived in that era): People would roll joints on the covers (or lines of that J.J. Cale, because "Cocaine"), they studied the iconography, passed notes on the inside propped up wobbly chairs/tables, used them as coasters, posters, flung them like frisbees, basically they were a part of life that was there, ubiquitous in society, culture, and then slowly over the next two decades would recede, but they were surviving totems, of memories, fond ones, "I still remember when "Iron Man" started to play for the first time at friend A's party", I like to think the former owner, their friends, circle (I got this back in Portland, OR, so presumably the owner came from there, or California), had great times. I know I've had great times with this record, one time physically bringing the turntable with a close friend, his younger brother, and cousin to their Uncle's house (all huge Sabbath fans, the Uncle never had the vinyl copy of this one, he had later releases, also I think an 8-track back in the day....), and watching it come to life. Hearing some amazing stories, just one example..... It really is Iron Man quality pressed, it plays so great, for the longest time (absent a bright light close inspection) I thought it was a straight EX copy, you'll hear I'm sure, how great this one is, it's one of those albums, a timeless classic, one that is always going to be. It's in that rarified company of Sgt. Pepper's, Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon", Nirvana's "Nevermind", and as much as I love Black Sabbath's first album, it's this one, the sophomore release, that I think will be their most iconic, the songs are so apart / interwoven into the fabric, we absorb them by cultural osmosis.
It's not the Sotheby's Mint copy, but it is a seriously great keeper copy, one I've been extremely happy to have, of the very first US press, and their is a plenty of life lived, and life to come here, may it go to home where it'll be loved as much as I and any/all former owners have loved it :)
Peep the soundclips :)

*Tariffs aren't going to impact used vinyl records / music media, we wish they were never in place at all, so for international buyers, don't worry on that account!
For our record grading, we stand by the merits outlined in the scale below, anything VG or below will have a detailed explanation in brackets next to the grade.
For sleeves, we will mention anytime there is split, or defect not visible in the photos in brackets next to the grade, otherwise we refer to the photos for the merit of the grade. Of course any questions, concerns, are always welcome :)
Our media grading scale is as follows: [*Quick note, our VPI is still in storage on the other side of the US, we do brush clean many  items carefully, but we have to prioritize, we won't leave anyone stranded with a filthy record, only "filthy" good! We don't factor dust particles into the grading]
NM = Essentially a pristine album, like new, rarely used.
EX = Under bright light if there is any scuffs or mark, which will be inaudible, most collectors and sellers would tend to consider it closer to NM, EX is also the grade others might call VG++ under the same level of conservative scrutiny.
VG+ = More then a small handful of scuffs, light marks, nothing feelable, will have high-gloss, a thoroughly enjoyable copy that may only have tiny moments of barely perceptible surface noise overpowered by the music. Our VG+ will satisfy the vast majority of collectors as a nice keeper copy, as collector's ourselves for nearly two decades, this grade is aimed to be a great keeper. Note if say the record has a light DNAP warp, but otherwise is NM, we will automatically put it to VG+ and detail that. Another scenario is if a copy plays at a solid EX, but visually is VG, the composite grade will be VG+, and detailed as such.
VG = More hairlines, more marks, maybe a few visible scratches, no more then two feelable scratches (which automatically lowers to VG-), there likely will be surface noise, but will play through, still being an enjoyable copy, the audio quality will satisfy most collector's (the golden rule: if it doesn't satisfy us, it won't be VG), if a record is otherwise EX, but has a slight momentary skip, where 99% of the record is EX, we will note that, and put it at VG. Usually will retain a nice gloss.
VG- = More Scratches than VG, surface noise will jump out more, it be overpowered for longer stretches, or compete with the music in places, it will likely play all the way through on most turntables, a copy that you can still get a decent play enjoyment from.
G+ = Lots of scratches, deeper ones, surface noise now mostly overpowers or competes with the music. It may skip in some places. We don't tend to sell G+ copies, unless the rarity is so great, and that will be precisely detailed.
Thrashed = Pretty much a "Theoretical Grade" for us, it be for all intents & purposes virtually unplayable, it would be for display purposes, or perhaps if you needed the cover but not the record. It's "theoretical" because so far we haven't sold or identified anything intended to sell at this bottom level.
Every item is guaranteed to YOUR satisfaction, no questions asked, 100% refund. We stand by our integrity, our goal is to make sure you are absolutely delighted with your purchase, to deliver a cherished album to your collection :). On the slightest chance of human error, if we make a mistake, we take accountability for that, we don't anyone to have a record they aren't happy with! Bid with confidence :)
