Description
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
(Vertigo 6360 011 UK LP 1970)
This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a matt gatefold sleeve, & comes with its original polythene-lined company "swirl" inner sleeve.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has swirl Vertigo labels. It has a large swirl logo on Side 2's label. The 1st press matrix numbers are:
Side 1: 6360011 1Y#-1 v 420 1 2 2
Side 2: 6360011 1Y#-1 v 420 1 1 1 1
The inner gatefold has the "Jim Simpson, Big Bear, Birmingham" credit. There is no track gap between the tracks "Hand Of Doom" & "Rat Salad". A genuine UK 1st pressing. These are not that common.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is a small number sticker in the top right corner. This has a small strip of tape residue over it. There is some mild rubbing wear to the top edge, & some more moderate rubbing wear to the bottom edge. There is some light rubbing wear to the spine. VG+ condition.
Vinyl: There are some light to mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, and a about 5 light marks. VG condition. The labels are very clean and show mild spindle wear. I have fully played this LP & it plays VG to VG+. There is some light, & sometimes more mild, crackle in some quieter places. There are a few light clicks near the start of Side 1. They do not last too long. There are also some light intermittent clicks on the track "Planet Caravan". They last 1 minute approx. There are a few louder clicks that last 1.30 approx on that track too. Obviously it is quite a quiet track! Also, a few light clicks on "Paranoid".
The Vertigo inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There are 2 very small tears at the die-cut circle area on one side. There are no seam splits.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
