Black Sabbath Fontana label LP plus magazine article

This is an original 1st pressing from 1970 of the self-titled 1st LP by Black Sabbath, with a rare Sabbath magazine article from the early 1970's.

Australia was the only country in the world to press this LP on the Fontana label ! .. even the UK didn't release this album on Fontana issuing it on Vertigo instead (only the 1st UK 7" single by Black Sabbath was ever released on the Fontana label).

This album also features a unique sleeve design to Australia .. it has a single laminated sleeve (non gatefold sleeve) that was only available with this very rare 1st pressing.

Unbelievably, the original owner of this LP kept a 'Circus' magazine article with a group poster from the early 70's tucked inside the album sleeve. The article has a story on Sabbath's 'black' origins titled 'Bill Ward Reveals The Black Brotherhood' .. the reverse of the article has a 3 page fold-open colour poster of Sabbath where Ozzy has his finger up Bill Ward's nose.

Original Australian 1st pressing of the 1st Sabbath LP from 1970 on the Fontana label - catalogue no. 847903 VTY.

This LP is in really fine condition .. Record is Near EX to EX .. both labels are Near MINT. Sleeve is Near EX overall .. the front sleeve is EX+ .. the laminated sleeve has retained its shine. The rear sleeve has some light ringwear and grades VG+.
