Vinyl Playback: VG+ ~ EX Side 1: A few notable but brief duration pops appear midway into the 'Black Sabbath' track. The side otherwise plays with generally passive surface noise between tracks and occasional one-off tics. Play Grade: 8.5+/10.  Side 2: Some passive surface noise between tracks and occasional one-off tics. Play Grade: 9/10. The record delivers an excellent, still powerful, and enjoyable quality playback. No skips. 
Cover: VG+ Some corner feathering but no bumps whatsoever. There are some general usage mini creases and a few spots where a previous owner blacked-out some cover surface skinning which had exposed the white underneath. These are not egregious. There are signs of gentle shelf wear but no seam splitting. The spine is straight and all corners remain perfectly squared. The gatefold is in solid condition and not far from EX-.
All 1970 second pressing's inside gatefolds are just slightly textured compared to later issues. In addition, in the inner gatefold, the band members, and production/ engineering credits are all in capital letters. This was immediately replaced with upper and lower case text beginning with the 3rd 1970 pressing.
Vinyl Visual: VG+ Retains its clean and glossy sheen. Surface lines and scuffs are apparent. Two scratches are seen on Side 1.
Labels: NM- Perfectly clean. A few light spindle lines.
Original Inner: VG Some age foxing and a short tear on one side.

M: Still sealed
M-: An opened item that appears 'M'. Virtually perfect playback.
NM: A few minor visual imperfections with virtually no audible impact. Top quality play.
EX: A few more surface marks than NM with very few audible imperfections. Quality play.
VG+: Surface scuffs and lines. Some light surface noise or a few tics or pops. Enjoyable play.
VG: Defined scuffs, lines, and scratches. More surface noise, tics, and pops than VG+. Acceptible play.
G: Heavy wear, deep scratches, with egregious surface noise, clicks, and pops. Poor play.
Hybrid Example:    Vinyl which is VG in appearance but plays NM. = Visual Grade: VG  Playback Grade: NM
The reverse may also occur.  = Visual Grade: NM  Playgrade: VG
Album covers are graded on a case by case basis given the myriad of issues which may impact each.
All grading is completely subjective and provided to the best of my ability.
