Description
True UK first pressing of Black Sabbath's debut on Vertigo with the Philips Record Product under the Vertigo script and "copyright subsists in all Stereo recordings" inside the gatefold. Swirl side(side 1) VG has light crackle periodically throughout, heavier in the first track but stills sounds awesome and with a nice sheen on the vinyl and no skips. Side 2(script side) is closer to VG+ with light surface noise in the quieter parts. Cover is in decent shape but the outer spine is showing it's 47 year old age and a split is visible in the center....spine in the inside is fine. A very small seam split at the top of the gatefold...pictures tell all. Inner sleeve is in pretty good condition with only about a small 1 centimetre split on 2 sides. Anybody who knows about this copy knows they are hard to come by...the original UK Vertigo just have that warmth to their sound when you throw them on the turntable and this IS the exact same version Tony, Geezer, Bill or Ozzy would have given to their parents when it FIRST came out.
