Description
An original 1st press of Sabotage on the UK Nems label from 1975. Matrix 2/2. Stamped 'Sterling'. The labels are consistent with very 1st press and mention 'NEMS Records & Tapes'. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured Robert Stace cover. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Wow, Sabbath were still knocking out some great music in '75 as this LP is testament to. Very nice clean audio whether that's in the sections with heavy riffing guitar, or with the more laid back acoustic funky passages. A storming rendition with little to complain at. All we could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - i.e. precious little at all. A stunning player and I don't think I've ever heard better...FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) A beautifully clean cover with almost no signs of surface wear or creasing - very unusual. Front and back really do seem supremely well preserved. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings sharp..I haven't seen a better example in a long time. The spine is 100% intact with practically no wear to speak of..very very unusual. All text perfectly legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. You're not going to better this example..no chance.
Inner (Ex) Lightest whiff of ageing. That's all. No splits.
