I clean each vinyl album and I carefully grade vinyl and sleeves visually under a bright light. See visual grading standards below. I play test all albums I visually grade VG- or below and provide notes with vinyl condition. I presume all albums I grade VG or above will track with no skips and with typical background noise in quiet spots.
I ship LPs securely in a sturdy cardboard record mailer to protect them during shipment.
All records are original pressings unless otherwise noted.

I purchased this box set brand new and sealed a year ago. Once I opened it, I noticed that all of the albums have fine hairline marks on them and that all sleeves have 2" to 3" splits at the top center, with the box having a 5" split along one side at the bottom -- most likely due to rough handling during shipping. For the most part, the records play fine with no noticeable issues (SEE BELOW FOR A COUPLE EXCEPTIONS), but I recently decided to upgrade and purchased another box set and had the same problem with that set! Unbelievable.
This is a good opportunity for someone to pick up this used set (with minor flaws) for a much lower price than if it were sealed new, and the condition it will arrive in is known so there will be no surprises.
Vinyl Condition: Record 1 is Good with hairline marks on surface, same with record 2 (one mark on side 3 can be felt). Records 3-5 are a bit better with fewer hairlines.
PLAY TEST reveals a pop associated with 1feelable mark on record 2 (during "Changes") and a pop through several revolutions during Tony's guitar solo in quiet spot side 9. Otherwise, hairline marks on surface don't cause noticeable noise or skips.
Cover Condition: Box has a 5" split along one side of the bottom and a small impact mark at upper left corner on front. All sleeves have 2" to 3" splits at the top edge center and creasing at lower right with small impact at lower left.
Inner Sleeve: All but one original inner sleeves have a side split. Book has an impact at upper right and the poster has a small impact at upper right.

Visual Grading Standards:
M: Still sealed.
NM: No visible flaws on vinyl or cover. Vinyl looks nearly perfect, as does cover.
EX+ to EX: Only few light noticeable scuffs/marks on vinyl or cover (normal light corner/edge wear).
VG+ to VG: Some more widespread light marks on vinyl, light corner/edge wear on cover, light creasing, and/or light ring wear.
VG-: Some more widespread marks on vinyl (scuffs and with tiny scratches in places), light corner/edge wear and/or ring wear on cover, light creasing, possible small area of edge wear/split.
G+ to G: Light marks visible on the vinyl under normal light, including scuffs and scratches, but vinyl still glossy. Heavier corner and edge wear on cover, ring wear, general wear, seam split(s).
G-: Widespread scratching visible on the vinyl surface under normal light with heavy corner/edge wear, ring wear, general wear, split(s) on cover.
