This is a listing for a 1972 U.K. first press copy of the vinyl album 'Vol 4' by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, with the late Ozzy Osbourne as vocalist. The album was released under Vertigo Records, designed with a gatefold outer sleeve and picture poster (24 inches by 12 inches), both in used condition with signs of wear and tear (please see pictures for reference), with the vinyl pocket half torn (refer to last picture) but could stilil hold the record safely. This rare first press edition was pressed in black vinyl with a white swirl (Vertigo Records logo) label on side A, which was replaced soon after on the same year of release. Another distinction is that it had no "Made in England" indication anywhere, instead the term VO PRICE CODE marked on the cover, with the code number also etched in the middle of the vinyl. The vinyl itself is in good used condition, with a hairline mark on side A (second last picture), hence our volunteer played the whole album before sale and proved the mark had no effect on its excellent sound quality, in high clarity with rarely any surface noise. Condition:
Used - Good. The cover, poster and sleeve show signs of wear with visible edge scuffing and half torn pocket. The vinyl itself have a light hairline mark but is expected to play well. Please see all photos as they form an important part of the description.
