Earliest matrix with PORKY/PECKO hand etched on the run offs confirming that it is the genuine , very first pressing of this Sabbath rock classic ! The very first UK pressing with virtually unmarked surfaces, and a near mint FIRST issue gatefold sleeve .

Complete with coloured booklet, strongly stapled to gatefold sleeve.

Inner vertigo swirl bag also present, poly lined with a slight ageing discoloration. EX condition inner sleeve .

 

THE very first UK pressing of this magnificent hard rock psyche . Impossible to locate in this stunning condition .

 

Labels- Very bright spiral vertigo format in near perfect condition with no discoloration. Light spindle trace only on side 2 and in ex+/near mint- condition. Very rare to locate like this as most were heavily played.

 

Sleeve in Ex+/NEAR MINT- condition.

Almost pristine gatefold sleeve and quite visually stunning . Hardly any spinal nor edge wear visible .Corners are sharp and pointed. Front/reverse faces are still retaining a deep black coloration with unfaded surfaces and are simply in unbelievable condition.

 

Booklet

Is firmly attached with strong staples, untarnished through age and are still held tight to the sleeve.Booklet is nr MINT and each page is as fresh and as new as the day it was issued. Amazing visual and feel, ultra clean and very close to perfection with no rips, nor tears. Coloration is unfaded and displays some of the best Sabbath pics ever taken during their live concert performance.

 

A rare exhibit indeed and highly sought after in this near perfect condition.  The gatefold outer faces are beautifully maintained and its unlaminated surfaces are unbelievable, as most album sleeves have finger prints and massive ring/surface wear but this gatefold must be one of the best examples . The outer front and reverse faces are as close to mint as is possible on a 1971 gatefold sleeve, with hardly any fading or ring wear or handling contact visible. Awesome!

 

Vinyl appears virtually unmarked under ordinary light. Possibly very faint hairlines examining under a strong halogen . Stunning visual .

 

Audio-BRILL! BRILL! BRILL! Sensational aural delivery with NO distortion, NO hisses …..Ex/EX+ for most of playback  .These wider vertigo channels are quite sensational and  project a deep resonant tone on the bass and percussion beats .

 

I doubt whether you will find much better ! A stunning exhibit of this hard rock psyche!
