For sale is a rare UK first press of Black Sabbaths debut album..Black Sabbath on the VERTIGO label

YEAR : 1970
COUNTRY OF ISSUE : UNITED KINGDOM
This is a genuine first press with the..A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT ...on the label and has the large Vertigo swirl
If it does not have the ...A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT .. on the label then it will be either a 2nd or 3rd pressing of this album, NOT a first.

I have played the whole vinyl to check for crackles and surface noise. Some surface noise during the bass solo on N.I,B at the begging, 2 pops in Evil Woman and slight surface noise at the begging and in the quiet parts of The Warning...and very very light surface noise between songs ending and the next starting. However this does not effect the audio and is not noticeable throughout. It plays superbly, the audio is very crisp and clear
The labels are very clean ....although on the B side label on the swirl there is a circular sticker ( I have not attempted to remove it) as you can make out on t he pictures
I have looked at the vinyl under heavy lighting and can see very fine scuff marks
The insert sleeve is very clean and white with just a bit of age staining as you can see in the photos This insert sleeve has come apart slightly on one side. I have another insert sleeve that goes with this LP that is intact but someone has written Black Sabbath and two names on the corners in blue pen. If you would prefer this inner please let me know
Unfortunately this LP is MISSING a gatefold sleeve. But anyone wanting a rare vinyl in their collection can keep a look out for a gatefold sleeve for the vinyl

Based on this grading : VERY GOOD (VG) : Record shows wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. The flaws may cause some surface noise,
