Rare Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1971 on Infinity Records. Cat: SINL934159. Comes in original lightly textured sleeve. 

This batch of LP’s are from a very recently acquired collection of all original late 60’s early 70’s pressing LP’s. There are around 200 albums I hope to list over the coming weeks some fantastic titles amongst them most over 45 years old!! I have hand cleaned and listened to every album and graded conservatively (as per usual) to give the most accurate grading I can. I hope you enjoy browsing or bidding on the titles as much as I have listening to them all.  

Original issue on Festival's newly inaugurated progressive label, Infinity, in April 1971, the record has had an extraordinary lifespan. It was a strong national seller back in the day and remains one of the most highly regarded heavy psych releases from the golden age of Australia's early 1970s rock scene. The album is dominated by the fluid, inventive guitar playing of John Robinson, the strident vocals of the then 19-year-old Neale Johns and the agile drive of the powerful rhythm section. The songs mix that heavy progressive sound with psych inflected guitar, making them some of the finest examples of the genre. Highlights include the airy, seductive Seasons of Change (a classic single, featuring the late, great Bon Scott on recorder), the thunderous Zeppelin-styled Long Legged Lovely and the Clapton-esque On this Day that I Die.

There are some light spindle marks on labels.  Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some light crackles throughout mostly noticeable between tracks and is in VG++ condition. Lightly textured cover has light ring wear and age spots on back. There are some tiny surface tears around edges, all seams are fully intact. Cover is in VG+ condition.
