This is a 180g audiophile vinyl pressing and limited edition release of the Blade Runner soundtrack, mastered by Kevin Gray and pressed on red vinyl with a beautifully presented gatefold sleeve. The soundtrack to Blade Runner has quite rightly taken on a legendary status. It was composed by Vangelis for Ridley Scott's 1982 film, one of the finest sci-fi movies ever made. The soundtrack was not first released until 1994.

Audiophile Mastering

This is an audiophile release mastered with great care by the legendary Kevin Gray. Why buy an audiophile record? Essentially for three reasons...

Firstly, the mastering work is usually done with greater care than on a standard vinyl release, some of which can even be mastered from CD rather than from original analog or master tapes.

Secondly, in contrast to normal vinyl which can have quite a noisy surface and is pressed on cost effective heavily recycled vinyl, this release is pressed on high quality 180 gram weight vinyl. There is almost no surface noise on this vinyl and the quality and texture of the sound should be much better.

Thirdly, a lot of care and attention is paid to the quality of the release as the creators of the vinyl recognise this is a collectable purchase for the buyer. In this case, this release features a beautifully presented gatefold sleeve and is pressed on red vinyl.
