Blind Lemon Jefferson Paramount 12608 'Lectric Chair Blues/See That My Grave Is Kept Clean
A legendary record from one of the prewar blues giants.
Overall, I would grade this record V- on the VJM scale. Paramounts tend to have poor sound quality due to the quality of their shellac, but this one sounds better than many I have come across especially for the grade. Both sides have a ton of scratches and some steel needle wear. "Grave" side has what I think is a heat mark that is visible and causes a sound once the needle is in the groove, but it is before the music starts. I have included sound clips of both sides, played with a 3.5 mil truncated elliptical stylus with 3.0 grams tracking weight.
