Description
BLIND LEMON JEFFERSON, PARAMOUNT 12692, 78rpm, “Christmas Eve Blues” b/w “Happy New Years Blues.” Condition is a strong VG to VG+. LEMON’s holiday greetings, country blues style, on black label 12000 series Paramount. The record is visually graded as VG to VG+ condition. With lots of gloss left, it plays quite well and there are no major flaws beyond what the grade and typical Paramount quality would indicate (standard Docks/JJJ grading used). Aural grade will of course vary depending upon the equipment it is played on. For comparison only, the record has been play-graded as VG on my 1950’s player, VG+ on my modern system, with the music/singing well above Paramount’s patented snap, crackle and pop. There is a very minor needle run on both labels, which are otherwise in nice condition.
Please be advised that the label scan -- while showing an approximately accurate picture, tends to show a somewhat degraded image of printed words, occasionally shifts colors and picks up glare, and usually gives an image which is at least a half grade or more below the actual quality. Still, the scan will give an over-all sense of the label’s condition.
USA shipping is $4.95 media rate or $5.95 priority (for non-USA shipping please inquire). Postal insurance is $1.50 per each $50 of value, at your option. Multiple winnings may be shipped together for an over-all reduction in shipping costs. I accept either money order or personal check (but prefer money order, as checks will be held until clearing my bank -- this takes up to ten business days unfortunately). No paypal. With many years of buying/selling 78’s please rest assured that packaging is designed to correctly protect your fragile purchase. Please see "other auctions" for more
