Description
Early Paramount blues recording of Blind Lemon Jefferson, ca. 1926. Scratches on both sides, but it plays okay. In other words, it sounds like almost every other used Paramount record I've ever heard. Plenty of pops and tics and static, but you can still clearly hear the voice, the guitar and the tune. Side A (Wartime Blues) appears to have been played less than side B (Booger Rooger Blues) because it's not as audibly worn, and it's louder.
I've posted crude youtube videos of both sides playing to give you some indication of how they sound, but bear in mind the videos were made with my phone, and the phonograph on which the record is being played is a 1902 Zonophone Grand Opera, an early acoustic phonograph with a primitive reproducer. For a link to videos, just send me a note. I don't think I can embed an HTML link in the listing.
That's about it. The record will be packed properly between stiff boards and shipped in a box. I've been shipping antique phonographs and early wireless radios for years, and I can assure you I'll get the record to you safely.
