Description
HERE IS a great pre-war (1927) country blues / gospel record by the immortal Blind Willie Johnson: "Mother's Children Have a Hard Time" and "If I Had My Way I'd Tear the Building Down."
This original 78 rpm Columbia "Race" series 14343-D is in VV- condition: No cracks or chips; audible needle wear, some blasting in the loud sections. Nevertheless, as you can see, there's plenty of life left in those grooves. This copy is eminently listenable.
(I offer clear, sharp pictures of the whole record so you can judge its condition for yourself.)
The disc will be expertly packed and shipped - safe arrival guaranteed.
Pay no attention to the eBay shipping charge. My postage and packing cost is $6.00 for media mail in the USA; to be calculated for overseas buyers.
(extra unsolicited information: The first title should be "MOTHERLESS Children Have a Hard Time." By mis-hearing Mr. Johnson and dropping one syllable, Columbia managed to change the whole meaning of the song.)
