Blind Willie McTell LP Last Session (Transatlantic 1966, PR1040) NM/EX

On Transatlantic Records (PR1040, 1966 release) acoustic 12-string blues Vinyl LP.

From recordings made in 1956 & probably (according to liner notes) the last tapes made before Willie McTell died in 1960. He was also known as ‘Blind Sammie’ on Columbia records, ‘Georgia Bill’ on OKeh records, and ‘Blind Willie McTell’ on Victor records.

The record was play-graded, and most play with no crackles at all, and there are no annoying clicks and no jumps. Labels are clean with no writing or stickers or other blemishes. Record is graded NEAR MINT.

The front cover is laminated, with very few short creases (no more than four) each approx. 0.5 to 1inch long, plus one 2inch crease near spine. Spine and top edge are wear-free. The bottom edge has approx. 3inches of wear in total across it, including worn corner near open edge. However, the open edge is wear and crease free. The rear is matt finish, has some light age-discolouration & faint impression of the record (near the opening side). Cover is graded EXCELLENT.

PACKAGING:This item will be protected inside strong thick card. Records are placed in a new white polythene-lined inner sleeve, and packed separately from the record company cover to avoid splitting the seam.
