Bloc Party - A Weekend In The City.
Right, firstly this album is like hen's teeth on vinyl. Which is why, despite the damage, I've continued to play it like it ain't broke.
However, I've finally been able to fork out the 100 quid needed to replace it. But it has done until now.
Sadly one of the key points to note is the damage to the rim. It fragmented when it was posted to me and unfortunately now makes track 1 (Song for Clay) and track 7 (Where is Home?) unplayable. However, the remainder plays beautifully. I painstakingly glued the pieces back to give if some feeling of its first pressed glory but that's aesthetic only unfortunately. Please see photos.
Along with the shattered bit there's another tiny nibble out of the skirt. And the sleeve has a little burst mark. Check the photos again. Other than that I am cursing the postal service as this would be a beautifully kept piece of vinyl.
Not a bad place-holder if you're looking to fill your Bloc Party collection. And if this doesn't sell I'll simply frame the cover...
