Description
On offer here is a copy of Ahead Rings Out by Blodwyn Pig, released on the Pink Island label in 1969, catalogue number ILPS 9101.
This unlaminated gatefold sleeve made by Earnest J Day & Co Ltd. is in Excellent condition, with some wear on the points of the corners and a little light shelf rubbing on the bottom edge. this is a notoriously fragile cover which usually suffers from bad edge and particularly ring wear, I am pleased to say this has light wear as described above and no ring wear, just an "impression" of the thick vinyl on the rear of the cover.
All the print on the spine is clear and the inside of the gatefold is in wonderful condition with the right hand side retaining a clean white finish. Please see all the photo's to satisfy yourself of the great condition of this album.
The vinyl is in equally great shape with only one small superficial mark on Side One. The vinyl retains a clean shine to both sides and is conservativly graded as Excellent, but arguably better.
The rough Pink "i" labels are very clean and the matrix numbers are ILPS + 9100 + A and ILPS + 9101 + B2.
Not an album that comes up often and certainly not in this great shape, a great opportunity for someone to acquire this great album.
The record will be sent outside of it's cover in a polythene sleeve in a heavy duty record mailer with two 12" stiffeners made by Covers 33 and as used by mail order record shops.
