Description
For your consideration: US radio station-only, promotional copy of Blood, Sweat & Tears 4 Columbia KC 30590. This was the band’s fourth studio album, released in June 1971. This LP is variously known as Blood, Sweat and Tears 4, BS&T4 and B, S & T; 4.
CONDITION (please see photos): Record/Vinyl (NM-): NO visible scratches; some light superficial scuffing not expected to appreciably affect audio quality. Outer Jacket (front & back) (VG+): slight edge wear; a touch of ring wear; very light tanning near the edges. Front Jacket Radio Timing Strip: (NM-/EX+): unmarked, clean. Inner Panels (3-panel band photo) (NM-): clean and bright.
This promotional copy was distributed by the Columbia Records Radio Station Service and was not for retail sale or resale. A large white “Suggested Cuts” radio timing strip (approx. 11” x 3”) is adhered to the lower third of the front cover of the album’s trifold jacket. This strip includes a check box next to each song title, allowing the radio station’s program director or individual DJs to indicate the cuts most suitable to the station’s format. In addition to the Length of Cut for each track, the “Intro. Time” is noted. This information allows announcers to know how long they might “talk over” the instrumental introduction to the song without “stepping on” the start of the artist’s vocals. Thank you for looking!
