Lovely UK 1st pressing of this brilliant album by the Blossom Toes who are Brian Godding (Lead and Rythm Guitars, Piano and Organ), Jim Cregan (Lead and Rythm Guitars), Brian Belshaw (Bass Guitar) and Barry Reeves. This is their second recorded album which is entitled 'If Only For A Moment and the whimsical psychedelia of the 1st album is replaced with a more heavier and progressive sound, which, to these ears makes a much better album.
The tracks on Side 1 are as follows: 1) Peace Loving Man, 2) Kiss of Confusion, 3) Listen to the Silence and 4) Love Bomb
Side 2 consists of 1) Billy Boo the Gunman, 2) Indian Summer, 3) Just above My Hobby Horse's Head and 4) Wait a Minute.
The album is produced by label boss Giorgio Gomelsky and ably assisted by Reg King, former singer with the Action, who would later go on to record with B. B. Blunder - essentially a later version of The Blossom Toes.
The LP itself has seen some play but has been looked after very well. Under bright light the album shows some scuff but nothing that can really be 'felt', its mainly just of the paperscuff variety and the album plays very well indeed . Overall, I would give a very strict visual grade of VG++ but plays really great - virtually EX with the music bright and clear from this lovely original Polydor pressing.
The Labels are in lovely condition, really clean and bright with no unwanted writing or spindlewear on either side.
The fully laminated cover is also in very nice condition, very minimal wear only - nothing at all really, just a couple of very light and tiny creases visible in the picture that shows the spine. The spine itself is fully readable and shows clearly the artist, title and catalogue number. Overall, I would grade the cover as being in EX condition.
Overall, this is a very fine and presentable copy of a very rare and collectable album which is going up in value all the time and therefore a wonderful investment for the future. Its a brilliant LP, so don't miss out on this rare chance to own this wonderful addition to any collection of UK psychedelia offered with low start price and no reserve!
