RE-LISTED WITH LOWER RESERVE.  This is a real Blue Note Records rarity … I purchased this from the famous Jazz Record Center in New York City a few years ago and have decided to sell it.  A SIGNED beautiful copy of Blue Note Records 5028, Jay Jay Johnson All Stars/Sextet … with Clifford Brown, Jimmy Heath, John Lewis, Percy Heath and the great Kenny Clarke.   From 1953 … his first Blue Note release.  The vinyl is VG++ to almost NM.  It has not been played very often. Gorgeous copy.  Lexington Avenue address with deep groove.  Cover/Jacket is free of splitting and is in awesome shape.  Just a bit of shelf wear.  In amazing shape for a record that is 51 years old.  The record is NOT stored (nor will it be shipped) in the jacket.  VG+++

Here are the two ultra RARE features of this particular record.  It is autographed by the late J. J. Johnson on the cover on the white of Clifford Brown’s shirt (see picture below).  In addition to the signature ... Side 2 was also unbelievably mislabeled!  Side 1 is BN 5028, 767 Lexington Ave, NYC … Side 2 appears to have been originally labeled with the Lexington Avenue label of Lou Donaldson and Clifford Brown’s BLP 5030 Blue Note release from around the same time.  In an effort to save the pressing the Jay Jay Johnson Lexington Avenue label (BN 5028-B) was glued on top.  The years have slightly loosened the adhesive to reveal part of the Lou Donaldson-Clifford Brown original Lexington Ave. deep groove label below.  Really cool.  Please see pictures below and email with any questions.
