Description

THAD JONES - "DETROIT-NEW YORK JUNCTION" - Rare  Original 1956  First pressing on BLUE NOTE 1513 (not a 180-200g reissue). This is the very first pressing.  

Absolute Flat Edge Original 1ST PRESS Recording by Rudy Van Gelder ..."RVG" in the dead wax (see next to last closeup pic)...Deep groove indentation both sides...767 Lexington Ave New York address both sides..."Ear" symbol found in dead wax....Very thick and inflexible vinyl....

VINYL:  Strong NM-  Super glossy.  Very Thick  inflexible original vinyl. Top Sound Fidelity.  Some scuffing side 1 track 1, the rest of the side is visually strong; side 2 is very clean with just a few small very faint hairlines. (unfeelable)

COVER:  Very Good-   Some neatly clear taped seam splits, no ring wear, 3  scrape marks on front cover; stain present (upper left back cover) and (2) thin scrape marks towards bottom rt......  please see all pics 

SOUND TESTED:  1st Press Sound .plays great.    Hardly any surface noise!
