Item Description:
Blue Note Records BLP 5037 (made in USA) - A Night At Birdland With The Art Blakey Quintet Volume 1 ten inch LP released in 1954. This is an original first pressing, not a reproduction or re-issue. The address on the labels is 767 Lexington Ave. NYC. There is a deep groove under the labels on both sides of the record. The cursive "P" that is the logo of the Plastylite Corp. and is widely referred to as "the ear" is stamped in the dead wax on both sides of the record.
Personnel: Art Blakey, drums; Clifford Brown, trumpet; Lou Donaldson, alto sax; Horace Silver, piano; Curly Russell, bass. Song selections are visible on the scans of the labels.
The condition of the record is excellent VG+. The cover is in VG condition. The bottom seam has a 3 inch split at the leading edge. Spine and top seam are intact.
