Description

For auction, a Gorgeous Copy of the Fantastic 78 RPM by The Great Lightnin' Hopkins, on Aladdin 209. The cuts are Down Now Baby, and Play With Your Poodle, and dates from 1949. These cuts find Lightnin' in his late 1940's acoustic phase. Down Now Baby is a deep Blues cut, while Play With Your Poodle is more of a Party Number.  The record is in E+ condition, and has all of it's original shine. The record looks to have been hardly played in it's 70 years, and plays magnificently. Just a few very light scuffs, that are completely silent in playback.  I am very experienced with 78's, and will ship this fragile record in a 12 x 6 inch box, loaded with packing peanuts, so it will get to you safely.  Please note this is a 3 day auction, closing Sunday, so bid quickly.
