Seventh and – until this year – Blur’s last studio album, which continued the jam-based studio constructions of the previous album, 13, with sampled rhythm loops, heavy electronic sounds, and influences from dance music, hip hop, dub, jazz, and African music. Recording of the album was a famously difficult period for the band, with relationships between members strained (notably with Graham Coxon, who had at the time been in rehab for alcoholism), and the band went on a long, indefinite hiatus soon after its release. Features the singles Out of Time, Crazy Beat and Good Song.
