Description
Here is an extremely rare record: Bob Campbell on Vocalion 02830. 78 Quarterly #4 says that only one copy of this recording is known to exist, which belongs to famed author and collector Gayle Wardlow.
This is inspired country blues with dark, clever lyrics & great fingerpicking; a good companion to Charley Patton, Robert Johnson, Blind Blake and so on.
Here is a link to a blog where you can listen to all four of Bob Campbell's solo tracks:

Conservative grading places this record at about V, meaning that this is an average condition 78 but rather above average for discs of this genre/scarcity. The record shows moderate, even wear with numerous light scratches/scuffs on either side and a somewhat dull finish overall. Only one deeper scratch on Dice's Blues causes a few minor pops for about 10-15 revolutions that don't overpower the music. Labels have minor wear but are quite readable and decent overall.
Playback is fine, record has fairly consistent, moderate surface noise that is more noticeable without the filter but definitely does not overpower the music which comes through clearly.. Some greyness here and there but no swishing or heavy distortion. Overall a very acceptable listening copy. I did not clean this record and will leave that up to the buyer. I imagine it will clean up to a better grade as it likely contains 80 years worth of dust in the grooves.
I have placed a reserve on this item given its rarity. Bid with confidence. I have been buying and selling rare records for several years now and have plenty of experience packing and shipping 78's.
Record will arrive in old style heavy green paper archival sleeve, backed with cardboard in a heavy plastic (4mil) sleeve. I will ship in a reinforced, padded heavy cardboard mailer with bubble wrap, packed into an oversized box filled with packing peanuts. Record must be insured. I will ship within three business days with tracking. Good Luck!
There are no chips, digs or cracks.

Upon closer inspection there are two very small edge chips that don't come anywhere near the grooves and only lay on the top surface of the outer rim, rather than biting into the edge of the record.
