Description
Bob Dylan : "Blonde On Blonde" 2-LP MONO
First US pressing (1966), with classic red labels on which appear 2 white "eyes".
Columbia C2L 41
RARE and highly collectible original gatefold jacket version with Claudia Cardinale photo, later withdrawn.
This iconic Dylan release features all original compositions, including "Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35", "Visions Of Johanna", the lusty "I Want You" ... and the sarcastic "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat" and "Just Like A Woman".
Dylan's fellow musicians for these sessions included members of his touring Hawks band (Robbie Robertson on guitar, et al) as well as the legendary Al Kooper on keyboards.

Both discs suffer from multiple surface marks / hairlines. Wax plays through with no skips or drop outs but surface noise is audible on most tracks, modest on some tracks, considerably more distracting on others. Certainly a great listen but a pristine, clean listen it is not.
Good gloss remains.
Labels show spindle marks and some missing paper. (SEE PHOTOS)

Jacket front / back color photo retains good color. Modest ring and rub wear present.
The numbers "2 00" are neatly written in ink in the upper right corner of the jacket front.
Inner photos (including this highly collectible one of Claudia Cardinale) are in excellent condition.
Spine is solid but shows rub wear. Spine print remains clearly legible.
Seams are solid with only modest rub wear. No splits.

Here find the highly collectible first pressing of Dylan's iconic "Blonde On Blonde" album. The prized jacket, featuring a photo of the lovely Claudia Cardinale, is in fine condition. This offering is modestly priced relative to others of the same vintage due to the mediocre condition of the wax, which provides an enjoyable listen but is compromised by surface noise. Hoping this rare collectible goes to a good home.
