Bob Dylan Blonde On Blonde MONO Girl Cover White Label Promo LP

From my own collection, here is one of the “Holy Grails” in vinyl collecting. And please check my other auctions for items that may be of interest to you.

 IN THIS AUCTION: 

·       “BLONDE On BLONDE” by Bob Dylan  

·       This LP is Columbia Records C2L 41.

·       This is a double vinyl LP in a gatefold cover.

·       It is a MONO (Monaural) LP.

·       This LP was released in 1966.

·       The LP in this auction is the VERY RARE WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL MONAURAL PRESSING.

·       As you may know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS were only released by record companies to the radio stations and DJs for airplay or to music stores/departments and were NOT made available to the general public. 

·       The LP has great cuts on it including “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35”, “I Want You”, “Memphis Blues Again”, and “Just Like A Woman”.

·       The ORIGINAL COVER in this auction has the photos of “girls” inside the gatefold. The “girl” image is of Italian actress Claudia Cardinale. Most likely Columbia Records had not paid for the rights to use her image. As a result, the “girl” images were removed from subsequent covers of this LP.

·        The GATEFOLD COVER is in VERY STRONG VG/WEAK VG+ CONDITION.  The cover has light overall wear. There is a just a hint of light ring wear on the front cover above Dylan’s head. There is some wear on the spine evident in the image of the front cover opened completely. There is light edge wear and some wear on the corners. There are 2 light creases: one at the bottom right of Dylan’s coat and the other at top right to the right of his head. There are, of course, NO seam splits.

·       This DOUBLE PROMO LP has 2 timing strips on the cover. The top timing strip has a crease on the left  and the bottom timing strip has slight wear.

·       The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION (some might grade it NM Minus but I prefer to be more conservative). The vinyl has LOTS OF GLOSS. There are a few slight and light surface hairlines/scuffs on each side.

·       The WHITE PROMO LABELS are overall nice and clean.  

·       This is a GREAT VERY RARE HARD-TO-FIND BOB DYLAN WHITE LABEL MONO PROMO LP. It’s definitely a “Must Have!” for any vintage vinyl collection. A GREAT Christmas gift, for sure!!!
