Description

An original mono 1st press BIABH on the UK CBS label from 1965. Matrix A1/B1. Please note label design is perfectly consistent with 1st press and includes the speed as "33". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono Ernest J Day printed cover with flipbacks. 
Vinyl (Vg-/Ex-) Looks in great condition, but it's a game of two halves. Side 1 has seen relatively light use, but side 2 has seen considerably more. This is not immediately obvious from a visual inspection - it's an audio check that reveals this! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level on side 1 and ONLY VERYGOOD on side 2. It's certainly a game of two halves - in fact it's unusual to hear quite such a difference from one side to another. Side 1 - there's little to find fault with just a touch of light static in the odd spot. Just great mono powering through and very impressive. Side 2 has seen considerably more use. It doesn't grade any better than VG. Some tracks are better than others, but as a minimum expect interference all the way through. Some tracks it's acceptable and on others it's starting to get more noticeable and is invading the sound. This copy might suit someone looking for a holding copy....priced accordingly because of the side 2.
Cover (Vg) In very nice condition with an unaged front without heavy creasing. Please note there's a bit of marking over at the spine edge. The rear seems to have escaped the worst of the usual fading, but there's a small amount all the same. Please note there's a signature in the top-right corner. Flipbacks are all intact and secure. Edge wear is reasonably light, except for on the spine. There's a bit of discolouration and the surface is just starting to split making the text less easy to read. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
