Description

Just one of many rare LPs I have up for auction this week! All are from my personal collection. If they don't sell for these realistic prices then back they go into the vaults forever!

All are very scarce and rarely are offered for sale anywhere for any price!

All are original and out-of-print!
No counterfeits or bootlegs!

Bob Dylan on Columbia PC 33893, "Desire."

Original 1975 USA pressing.

The record is still sealed inside the jacket in outer cellophane shrink wrap! The record is presumed perfect.

The jacket is MINT condition with perfect sharp corners and edges. Not a cut out, so no cut corners, no drill holes, and no saw cuts. No writing. No bar code. The shrink is perfect.

Shipping is via USPS Priority Mail only. No first class rate! Except in USA, I do offer free media rate but obviously that is not recommended for valuable pieces. The risk is the buyer's, not mine.

USA add $1 extra postage per each additional LP. International add $4 per each additional LP. Double record sets count as two LPs.

I have been selling records professionally by mail for years. It goes without mentioning that I know how to pack your valuable records for safe and speedy shipment, double-boxing when necessary and using industry-preferred packing materials. Please do not neglect to check out the rest of my rare records!

I have been asked to explain where all my sealed LPs are coming from all of a sudden. In truth I have been offering many sealed albums for a long time on eBay, for auction and in my store. Several years ago I bought cases of new-old-stock records from a long defunct record shop. All were sealed, coming from the 1960s through the early '80s, the highest concentration being from the late '60s to the early-to-mid 1970s. Because finding buried treasure so rarely happens, I have had a difficult time in convincing myself to part with the key pieces. All the soundtracks and oddball stuff I put up for auction right away or in my store. Now I realize it's time to let go some of the better items, especially the Dylan LPs, to the more deserving collectors. I've only kept them so long because they're cool. A true collector has a much better reason than that. Anyway, rest assured practically every sealed LP I offer for auction or in my store is new-old-stock from the estate of a record shop owner. I say "practically" because a few of my sealed records in my store have come from other sources. These LPs were all purposely kept back by the gentleman, who reportedly did so because he appreciated the LP cover art. A natural pack-rat, he basically lost track of them over the years while still adding to their numbers, storing them in sturdy shipping cartons in an unused bedroom in his house. I managed to get a few cartons at the sale of his estate in 1999. I have kept excellent care of them, keeping them in the same cartons for fear of damaging them by keeping them on shelves with my playing copies. In all honesty, each one really appears like new, even Dylan's Blonde On Blonde. That one is sure going to hurt parting with. Much thanks for everyone's interest, and thank your lucky stars if you've been saving up and biding time waiting for this to happen. Best of luck, because you never know when another collection like this is going to turn up.
