This is a cool old record in very good shape. I am not a guru of Vinyl, though I certainly LOVE to listen to it. I am listening to this album right now. There is a very light scratch that is heard at beginning of song one. Barely heard once music starts, diminished from there on & quickly not heard. Overall very good quality in my opinion. On SIDE TWO sort of same thing. First song starts out with a noticeable crackle in a certain spot of rotation. It is a little more pronounced than the first side, but gradually gets better and eventually goes away as song progresses. The rest of the side is very clean otherwise on my turntable, with just a couple of pops or crackles to notice lightly. Cover is nice and clean also. There is some writing in pencil around song titles where owner I think was marking songs and sometimes keys to learn songs (seen in photo).
This record has a real cool Dylan drawing/poster with it. Looks like a pencil drawing. I searched and searched and finally found one online. The site did not have it for sale, just like a info page, at which they stated this particular poster was issued during 1965 & 1966, with this album, and also with some other promos. Then I found one for sale, but it was not the same. Mine does not have name at bottom, it's just the picture. Also, the ones I found were 17 x 22". That would not fit in an album unless folded. This one is inside with the record and is basically about 8x12" or so. Take that for what it is cause it's just info I found on the web.
Someone sold an album like this and it was listed 1965, Original Issue...Deep Groove, Columbia Label CL-2389. At close inspection it looked identical to this one in markings. But, as a non-guru of vinyl, I ask you to please ask questions of me or someone else for authenticity. I got this with a batch of records, some other Dylan, some other Folk (soon to come I hope) from an estate. So this also make me think this, and the others, are old and original. See pics and let me know if you got questions. Frazier - Small Town Music - 601.859.8596
