Description
First private pressing, 1970 blue stamped cover with white labels. Runout / matrix # 417 A/B (see photo).
This is from music industry person's collection, most albums were sealed, lots were white label promos in near perfect condition and all were impeccably taken care of.
Condition: Vinyl is NM, looks pristine with full gloss and most likely unplayed. Under very bright light there are faint paper/sleeve marks. Labels are bright and clean. Cover is a strong VG++ slight dings to edges and corners, faint rub marks and tanning but overall clean. Blue staining on the back is presumably from the original screening as it's the same color as the front stamp.
"After the GWW version, the first John Birch Society was released in 1970 by an unknown Label. The matrix was 417 A/B. This first issue then, was pressed from the same master plates as the original GWW. The album was black vinyl with blank white labels. The covers were white (or, rarely, a light pastel) with various forms of rubber-stamp names on the front."
