Description
Bob Dylan and Bob Dylan and The Band Bootleg LP, Blank Cover, Blank Record Labels. The records are not marked as ONE or TWO, nor are the sides marked as A and B, so I can only describe them this way: Each record has a side of early "Folksinger" Dylan and a second side with later "Folk-Rock Blues" Dylan playing with The Band both in concert and likely in the basement of "Big Pink" in upstate New York. There is also a recording of a conversation between Dylan and who I am pretty sure is Pete Seeger. Here is a list of the song titles on the labels, which are barely visible with a magnifying glass: Salty Dog, Ramblin' Around, Hezakia Jones, I Ain't Got a Home, Down in Mississippi, Lazarus * * Feelin' Low Down, Dirty, and Mean, Only a Hobo, Quinn the Eskimo, This Wheel's on Fire * * I Shall Be Released, A Certain Thing I learned, Too Much of Nothing, Nothing Was Given, Tears of Rage, Since You've Been Gone * * Baby Please Don't Go, Fare Thee Well, See That My Grave is Kept Clean, East Orange N.J., Man of Constant Sorrow
Condition: I tend to be conservative grading records. The gatefold cover is Poor (worn) with tape repair at the top (or bottom) for splits; ring wear is obvious, and there are stains. Surprisingly, though, the cover is sturdy, has sharp corners, and there is no sign of wear at the binding inside or out. The cover is more white than the yellowish-brown you can see in the secondary photo. The main photo with the records displayed is closer to the true color. As for the records themselves, I think a fair assessment is VG. There are a few pops and clicks in some of the tracks but nothing that interferes with the clarity of the music or singing. These are not studio quality recordings in the first place. It's a bootleg, after all.
I hope you will consider making a winning bid on this album. It is a piece of American music history. There won't ever be any more of these, only fewer, so the value will only increase with time.
