Description

Fellow audiophiles up for your consideration is an extremely rare unauthorized bootleg pressing from Vibrator records taped from the 1975 S.N.A.C.K. (Students need athletics culture and kicks) Concert that was organized and promoted by the legendary Bill Graham to help benefit San Francisco Schools. This live album includes recording artists Bob Dylan with The Band members Levon Helm, Rick Danko and Garth Hudson, also accompanied  by Neil Young and his then regular sidemen Ben Keith and Tim Drummond. Now there's a lineup for a Super Group. The audio quality is what one might expect from a Live Bootleg recording, not so good. Although the concert was a radio simulcast event Dylan's microphone suffered technical problems throughout the event and needed to be louder at times. Research indicates that the very first of these pressings were released on blue splatter vinyl with the pink label, all of the later re-issues were on black vinyl minus any paper label whatsoever. Unique messages in the run-out groove on side A read "Dedicated to those few people who truly understand me" and on side B  "For LouE and Dave".  Obviously the value here to collectors is the novelty aspect plus the obscurity of the LP and certainly not the audio quality. At Credits end there is the disclaimer "Caution Do Not Sit On This Record...It's a Vibrator".  The track list consists of - Side One-Are You Ready For the Country- Lookin' For a Love- Loving You (Is sweeter than Ever) and I want You. Side two- The Weight- Helpless/Knocking at the Dragon's Door (midway through the song Helm starts singing Dragon's Door????)- Will the Circle be Unbroken-Who killed Davey Moore and All I really want to Do. The vinyl's condition is excellent to near mint and the album cover is as well. It's difficult to grade a bootleg due to the audio quality (or lack of). I have always kept the record in a mostly dust free smoke free and climate controlled environment (not a warehouse). Thanks for looking. USA Shipping Only.
