Description

from my own collection

A copy of Fontanas Newport Broadside a best of from the Newport folk festival of 1963 signed by Bob Dylan - Joan Baez - Tom Paxton - Sam Hinton - Ed McCurdy - Ron Copper -

Bob Dylan and Joan Baez in pencil

Note the amusing Joan Baez c/o Alcatraz comment - Baez had served a sentence for her radical protesting

Presumably this copy was signed at the '64 festival

The cover is a little shabby and discoloured now

The vinyl has also seen better days - it has a fair few pops and some crackle to it but is still listenable and is a testament to the protest and the uncertainty of the time (witness 'talking atomic blues' by sam hinton).

Above all else it contains Bob Dylans signature from a moment in time when he was about to break out in an astoundingly influential way.
