Description
Bob James is an American jazz keyboardist, arranger, and record producer. He founded the band Fourplay and wrote "Angela", the theme song for the TV show Taxi. Music from his first seven albums has often been sampled and has contributed to the formation of hip hop. One is his third solo album - It was an important album in the early smooth jazz genre and is famous for its end track, "Nautilus", which became important to hip hop as one of the most sampled tracks in American music. Released on April 17, 1974 this album charted at number two on the Jazz Album Charts. Here a very nice copy – barely played
Having downsized our home, I am selling off my collection of vinyl to save space. Pains me to do it, but the time has come!
All that I am listing is from my personal collection and has been lovingly cared for. Most of my records were transferred to tape to prevent vinyl wear as can be seen from the photos accompanying each lot.
I have tried to be rigidly honest in my grading (as per RC Rare Record Price Guide), so you can buy with confidence. All records will be shipped in reinforced card containers with strengtheners where required.
If you want to bid on multiple items, please do not pay me straight away – I will calculate the appropriate postage and send you an invoice – I do not make money on postage and packaging.
