Here's an LP that's credited as an early part of the Smooth Jazz genre... This 1974 vinyl LP titled "One" by Bob James was released under the CTI Records label with catalog number CTI 6043. This copy comes in the original gatefold jacket and has the Van Gelder stampings in the runouts. The album falls under the jazz and funk genres, with a stereo audio channel format.

From Wikipedia... One is the first solo album, and third album overall, by jazz keyboardist Bob James. It was an important album in the early smooth jazz genre and is famous for its end track, "Nautilus", which became important to hip hop as one of the most sampled tracks in American music.
"Nautilus" is widely recognized as one of the most influential tracks in jazz and hip-hop. It is said to be one of the most sampled tracks in hip-hop history. Ever since the 1980s, the song has been sampled a significant amount of times, due to its wide variety of useable clips, especially the main riff, bassline, and drums. The first sampling of "Nautilus" is believed to be by Ultramagnetic MCs (“Bait”, 1986). Other notable artists who have sampled "Nautilus" include Run-DMC ("Beats to the Rhyme," 1988), A Tribe Called Quest ("Clap Your Hands," 1993), and Naughty by Nature ("O.P.P.," 1991).

I listened to both sides of this LP completely through playing on my audio-technica AT-LP60XBT turntable without issues. This record plays really well and sounds great!
