Bob Marley "Could u B Loved" 12" 1 Sided Promo (80) NM

$

32

Another private collection i recently purchased from a Jamaican distributor here in Miami. This was his private personal collection as he imported and exported throughout the 60's through 90's

Most are NM to M and some are still sealed. Please check out some of the rarer 12" and LP's we have listed and will be listing.

This one comes from my personal collection as i was a WB/Island promo rep throught the 70's/80's here in Miami and as a result had a number of occasions to pick up Bob and his entrouage at Miami and take him to Cedella's in south Miami. On a number of occasions we would get diverted to my home to partake, thus the second photo from my home in Miami Lakes. Thanks to my shutterbug wife for capturing a great moment as we were promoting the Uprising LP.

I eventually took Bob to radio statio WMJX (96X) to do a late night interview in Miami taking hundreds of phone calls from the Miami Jamaican community. We spent 2 hours playing records and taking calls."Magic", and we got the radio station to put the 12" in power rotation which is what we both wanted.

This 12" was 1 of 25 extra promos that were sent to me by Island (I still have my autographed copy "One Love") that Bob signed for me that day. 1 SIDED.

I took Bob,Rita & Danny Sims(Manager) to the airport on a Monday for the famous MSG concert w the Commodores only to get a call from Danny that Bob had collapsed in Central Park. This photo was taken on Saturday(less than a week before) and i have never shared it with any one except Rita and the children.

This collection that i just purchased is expansive and brings back a flood of memories that i wanted to share. I am truly blessed to have been in the right place.

The photo is 30 years old and features me on the left (Bob Perry) Bob Marley Jim McMann (WBZ Boston) March (MY Assistant) and Danny Sims (Bob's Manager). bluenoterecords@bellsouth.net copyright

As a footnote When I picked Bob up to take him to the airport on the monday before the MSG concert,he was extremely upset at the jacket for the Could you be loved 12", so much so that we almost missed the flight, as he insisted to talk to Blackwell as to why this sexual jacket was used to promote his record, only to be told that it was a marketing decision ie Grace Jones. We only left when Chris promised that the commercial jackets would be tamer.

This collection is historical in the fact that these records in this condition never show up. I have kept a number of rare records for my collection and I am still negotiating for the remainder of this amazing collection. "It's late and thanks for listening"  One Love

Please leave us 5 Stars ! . You might think that you are leaving a reasonable rating by giving a seller 4 Stars , but this is not true, eBay's feedback system treats anything less than a 5 Stars as sub-standard and punishes sellers . A 4 is actual a BAD rating for the seller . So in all fairness, I ask that if you were happy with your transaction please rate me 5 Stars as anything less is saying you were not pleased. If there is a problem , contact me and I'll make it right . Thank You
