Description

I am selling off my brother's vast and extremely well cared for lifetime record collection on his behalf.
Every single record is carefully visually graded, thoroughly test played, photographed in detail in both good natural daylight and bright artificial light, and a digitised sound clip is included of the actual record playing through a high quality Hi-Fi system for your evaluation.
PLEASE NOTE: Each listing starts at £5, which seems a fair place to start, but my brother has insisted that all the auctions must run to the end, so sorry but there is no 'Buy It Now' option.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For sale here is:
Bob Marley & The Wailers - Exodus - original vinyl LP from 1977 in excellent condition.
I've been struggling to pinpoint the origin of this album but can't seem to find this pressing exactly, though the undersized label and etched runout markings of 'ILPS 9498 - 1' and 'ILPS 9498 - 2' make this look like the 1977 Jamaican pressing, though I really can't be certain on that.
The iconic embossed sleeve is in excellent condition with just a little very light wear and the original shop sticker which in my opinion is best left well alone after nearly 50 years.....
The flimsy inner sleeve has been knifed by the record edges and although it still looks very well, the vinyl is now housed in a new poly-lined inner sleeve for safekeeping and to prevent any further splitting of the original.
The vinyl is in excellent condition with only the lightest of superficial hairlines visible in bright light. There is a little 'haziness' in a certain light but this has zero effect on playback. There is a little light crackle and the odd tick here and there but as can be heard on the attached recording of side 1 in its entirety, the record still plays really well with a nice crispness and detail, but please do take the time to listen to the recording of this actual vinyl being played.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although we have now been selling for over a year, we still have 1000s more very varied and interesting records to sort through which will all be coming up for auction. We only list in small batches, maybe 30 records once or twice a month, so please save us as a seller and keep an eye out for lots more really good quality records from a cherished lifetime collection. Thank you for looking. Georgina.
