Bob Marley & The Wailers: Kaya LP
I bought this record when it was released back in 1973 and it has been very well looked after as part of my personal record collection ever since. The sleeve is in excellent condition for nearly 50 years old with only very minimal handling wear visible, please take the time to scroll through all the photos to see the lovely condition. The spine is fully readable as you can see in the third photo and it includes the original Island inner sleeve advertising other albums available on the label from that period.
The vinyl is also excellent and only when scrutinised under very bright light can you see a few hairlines here and there as you'd expect from any record from the seventies. I have just cleaned it in my professional record cleaning machine with the award winning L'Art Du Son fluid so it is now free from dust and static and in the best possible condition ready for the new owner to enjoy. I also just test played it all the way through on both sides on my Project Debut Carbon turntable fitted with an Ortefon 2M Blue stylus. It plays through beautifully with barely a crackle and absolutely no skipping, sticking or jumping guaranteed. The analogue sound is warm and dynamic with very little intrusive surface noise. I used to have the anniversary reissue vinyl released a couple of years ago and in comparison this is infinitely superior sounding to the remastered version that was sourced from a digital file and quite a cold and more sterile listening experience in comparison.
