Description
FIRST VINYL PRESSING OF BOBBI HUMPHREY'S ICONIC BLUE NOTE ALBUM!
Here is an original pressing of Bobbi Humphrey's Blacks and Blues (Blue Note BN-LA142-G), one of the classic mid-70s Mizell Brothers jazz-funk productions. I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks; all visual details described below are represented in the accompanying photos.
Vinyl audio is Excellent, with a very quiet soundstage and crisp, well-defined separation of instruments. The appearance of the vinyl is closer to Very Good++, due to a few light smudges/marks (see photos) - having listened to the record all the way through, these are purely cosmetic and do not affect the listening experience, but please bear this in mind if you are looking for an unmarked surface as well as great audio. Labels are Blue Note blue label with black 'b', runout details consistent with the All Disc pressing, and in Excellent condition.
Original cover is strictly graded VG, downgraded due to ringwear discolouration on the front & rear cover, seam/spine scuffs and a small cutout corner in the top right - however, the cover is structurally sound.

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
