- All of our used records are play-graded and come in a protective outer-sleeve.
CONDITION DETAILS Vinyl plays with crackles and some clicks (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, discoloration spots, water damage along bottom, and surface impressions (front/back); slight discoloration on back. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); one seam partially split. Spine is partly easy-to-read with wear and splits. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Split near right of too-edge; bottom-edge i almost completely split. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Hole-punch in top-left.)
ABOUT THE RECORD Though recorded at the dawn of JFK's New Frontier, Bobby Christian's Strings for a Space Age clings to the spirit of the celestial easy listening LPs of an earlier era. Both futuristic and square at the same time, it reprises the same familiar pop standards as umpteen other records, and gives them a similarly cosmic sheen. Christian's side-long original "Space Suite" does boast some exciting moments.This is an outer-space exotica worth giving a listen to.
