Description
MEGA RARE ...one of the holy grail's of Northern Soul . This is the 45 of "Bobby Kline" on MB records #1001. This August 1967 pressing has the labels on the right side! A side has "Say Something Nice To Me".The dead wax etching number indicates RC-105-A. The B side "Taking Care Of Business" which has the etching number RC-105-B. Labels on both sides are flawless, but a very faint ring on B side. B side vinyl Is MINT!!!! Now for A side...this side has a hair line scratch at the beginning that has no pop or clicking what so ever. Now, This same side also has the name Bea Johnson lightly inscribed, also stating 3 albums...further study shows that this was #3 off the press at United Record Pressing in Nashville Tennessee! Before setting to automatic press they would often let a few copies press before running any further..for quality testing . Might this be when they pressed the labels on the wrong side?And how long before they noticed? As I read about this plant, it was a mad house during the 50s to the late 60s. Most Elvis's...early Beatles..and Motown had there vinyl pressed here. The name etched is almost unnoticeable to the naked eye and has no bearing on the play, but knowing this makes this a more rare 45!!!
