Description
BOBBY TIMMONS Chun-King Prestige PRST 7351
Up for auction is an original 1965 Prestige stereo Preview copy of Bobby Timmon's trio date, "Chun-King. Great session features Albert Heath and Keter Betts accompanying Timmons. Classic soulful jazz trio music that really grooves. DEAD WAX INFO: Side 1 has PRST-7351-A etched and VAN GELDER and STEREO all stamped into the dead wax. Side 2 has PRST-7351-B etched and VAN GELDER and STEREO all stamped into the dead wax. Stone original 1965 Prestige stereo press, one of the earliest to be sure. Somewhat rare in this shape. VINYL VISUAL: VG+ and WAY better with minor rash and sleeve removal markings. Disc and labels indicate VERY few plays. Grade probably improves with a cleaning.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: NM at best with AMAZING stereo fidelity and a very low noise level that you would expect on any Prestige press of this era. Cleaning may improve this. Probably as good a play as you will find of this particular pressing.
COVER VISUAL: VG+ and WAY better with minor corner wear and very slight opening feathering. PREVIEW COPY stamp in red on rear (SEE PICTURES PLEASE). Spine and seams are SWEET.
Comes with what I assume is the OG plain paper inner which I have lined with an audiophile style rice-plastic inner. DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING
HELLO ALL. My name is Jamie, and I have been collecting records steadily for over 45 years. After a bit of a respite from selling on Ebay, I am back and will be selling a ton of stuff over the next few years. My tastes run all over the map, so there will be something for everyone. All opened items will be visually AND aurally graded. All Dead Wax info will be listed. Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.
If you have issue with an item, PLEASE work with me to achieve an outcome that will be to your satisfaction. I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis. THANKS FOR READING, everyone. Occasionally I will be selling rare and collectible CDs. Shipping obviously will be much less, around $5 CANADIAN within North America.
